Although he is officially in seclusion, Piers couldn't resist appearing in a quick set of publicity photos with close friend, actress Varna Sorensen, during last year's Knottwood Mediaeval Tournament, where he generously put in an appearance, chatting with admiring fans. Witnesses reported that the star appeared "relaxed", though (like Miss Sorensen) he declined to wear mediaeval clothing.
