C. J.'s Enchanted Morning Adventure

The King seems inordinately pleased with Sir Wilfrid's ignominious tumble...

The THINGS that amuse a KING!

And as C. J.'s former foe vainly tries to catch his frightened HORSE...
CHASING it won't help!

...C. J. learns the reason why King Oswald is SO angry with Wilfrid of Hallebury....
Shocking!

She hangs around long enough to see King Oswald charge at the villain, and mete out JUSTICE with the flat of his SWORD...

He really has no CHOICE!

As one might expect from his previous actions, the cowardly knight tries to weasel out of trouble!
He really has no CHOICE!

King Oswald gives short shrift to this disgustingly BAD attempt to LIE...
Serves Sir Wilfrid RIGHT!

Satisfied the king has everything under control, C. J. prepares to LEAVE...
C.J. wants to go HOME!

C. J. has no problem reassuring him with good humour and warmth...
Yup, she DID sorta hurt her shoulder...

...but her parting comments to Wilfrid of Hallebury leave him unable to look her in the eyes. She finishes off with a stern, policewomanly WARNING...

Whew! He'd better watch OUT!

Wilfrid turns away with whatever shreds of dignity he can retrieve
What a weeny!

Hard to DO, when you're trotting after the KING like a dog...
That'll larn him!

C.J. watches them out of sight, then turns for what she hopes will be HOME...
Now comes the TRICKY part...

The sun is SETTING by the time she finds the spot where it all STARTED...
(Hope this WORKS...)

The sword begins to GLOW...
Ooooh....

A blinding flash knocks C. J. backwards!
(That's the TROUBLE with Magic...

Dimly, she becomes aware of a familiar voice speaking URGENTLY...
(Thank HEAVENS!

(Brilliant deduction, Cheryl!)

I hope she doesn't have CONCUSSION...

Cheryl's reply is cautious...
We don't THINK sooo...

Very wise decision!

Eerie...

Hurry up, girls!

DEFinitely eerie...

Did he MOVE just then???

*Gulp!*

Spooky!
