First we had one lady with (almost) TWO KNIGHTS. THIS time, we have TWO LADIES with one knight! We are told we almost had THREE ladies... but why don't we just try to explain?

Sir Per Gunnar Thorssen was seen sporting a midnight blue scarf around his left arm... but TWO ladies both wore the exact same COLOUR - Sir Per's current lady-love, Lady Fleur of the Starry Skies; and the mysterious (and VERY tall!) Lady Maxime.

We heard THIS explanation through the grapevine: Apparently, Per had got wind of ex-girlfriend Varna's plan to appear in the exact same golden DRESS as Fleur's. This meant that no matter WHICH lady's token he wore, one would be offended! When mysterious Lady Maxime, a visitor to Knottwood, asked him if he would wear her token, he JUMPED at the clever way out of his dilemma - only to find that Varna had NOT worn her gold dress after all, because SHE heard that Fleur had found out her Diabolical Plan!

Says the lovely Fleur, "At least Per LEFT weez me!"

MEANWHILE... Fleur had decided to change the gold dress, JUST in case Varna turned up in its twin... and had added a midnight sky-blue mantle and trim! Unfortunately, she chose the EXACT shade of blue that Maxime had also picked... So Per found himself in a tricky position between two ladies ANYway....

Meanwhile, Varna turned up in filmy Hollywood designer lavender, airily ignoring all things mediaeval, with millionaire dentist Charles Hesketh Asmundsen in tow....
