Alan's Television Adventure

Not all families in Knottwood treat television as responsibly as Nancy and Buddy Jim Hanbro, who monitor their children's viewing. Nancy and Buddy Jim allow Isobel and Holly to occasionally watch quality educational programs, tasteful comedy, and thoughtful dramas - interspersed with lots of healthy, outdoor activities...

Some families, we regret to say, watch TV morning, noon and night, with no thought of how it might dull the sensibilities of impressionable youngsters. How often have we had to deplore gratuitous scenes of violent imagery witnessed by the Very Young?

A typical case in point is poor little Alan Haney...

just look at ME...

"Er... Cheryl? Do you think a gory Viking saga is a suitable film for children?"
Don wakes to a noisy TV program...

"Oops! I thought it was a little violent for Teletubbies..."
Cheryl is shocked to find out it is NOT a suitable show...

"Half a mo... I'll change the channel to something a bit more APPROPRIATE...
Don switches the channel...

"Oh, VERY appropriate, Donald...
EEEEEEEEEK!...

The change in little Alan is SHOCKING!

Now ALAN is shocked!
"Uh... NO hockey, then..."

"Thank HEAVENS! - Here's Rupert coming on next!
How easily the young are influenced!
